Tough Choices!

Much like the character Daniel in the LS comic, I too have to make some hard choices. I've been wrestling with this particular one for a couple of weeks now. Of course, every choice comes with its own consequences. That choice being ... do I continue the comic? My life has changed considerably over the past few years. With those changes, my schedule and availability to work on the comic has changed as well. This has become much more apparent these past few months - as I seem to be under the gun a lot more than in previous issues, and I've attributed that to the lack of drawing time available to me to complete a weekly page. So my options stood as; End the comic here :( - or - change the posting schedule to bi-weekly and see how I go. I never thought I would ever have to consider whether or not to continue the comic at all, and I didn't like having to make this choice. This comic has become a part of me. For those who've spoken to me on SC or know me at all - then you know how much I love doing this comic, and how much I would fight to keep it going (flaming nail gun in hand.) Like Rux said;” I eat, sleep, and breathe the LS" - especially in my head. So I've come to a decision. I can't end the comic here. There's still so much to be done - to be told - and to be honest, SOOO much more ass to be kicked. For myself and other memebers of the LS Trust this comic is our voice of reason, our place of peace and the best creative outlet we could ever ask for. Also, speaking with you all and hearing your experience with the comic has truly been the highlight of doing the LS by far. I don't want to feel like I'm always behind the 8ball anymore. I want to enjoy it again. I've learned, in the end - it's not the weekly page that matters so much - it's finishing the issue. People sometimes read the LS by saving up pages then coming back to read a few at a time. Others wait to the conclusion of the issue before catching up on the latest LS story. So that's the decision I've made. Counting from this latest page #13 which will be posted next Thurs, and from now on, I will be posting a new page every two weeks. If I'm able to get a page done early, I'll post it early, but this will be the new schedule until the arrival of my clones. I thank you once again for all your continued support of the comic - and hope you continue to follow us regardless of change. There's still much to be told - and it's not a race....It doesn't matter what place we come in, all that matters is that we finish what we started. I get that now - and we're not done yet! With Fire! c-

A LS Hallmark Moment.

	There are no heroes anymore.

we’re all just clean up crews for somebody else’s mess.

We look to the skies, hoping that someone will

come from the heavens to make things right.

only to look back down to feel the

	cold concrete beneath our feet

and we know - this is the

	reality of our lives.

no one is coming to save us ...

The Landscaper is a small team of like minded insanity merchants who pool ideas to bring you a great comic, I'm one of those merchants; Some of you know who I am. I generally sit back here quietly making sure The Landscaper Comic is alive on the internet, thats my job and I do it well. Today I had to step out of the darkness, because it's someones birthday.

Whilst we're a team and many have contributed over the time, none of this would be possible without the dedication of one of us; One of us lives and breathes The Landscaper. Today it's that one man's birthday, I'm not quite sure how old he's gotten (I actually do know!), but he doesn't show whatever that number is.

So endulge me for a moment, while I take a selfish moment, to say Happy Birthday to the one of us that lives and breathes The Landscaper so that all of us can enjoy it, Chris.

We're into the 4th issue, it feels like only yesterday we started this thing. Here's to 10 more.

Nathan Recker brands himself for the holidays!

One of our loyal readers Mr. Nathan Recker (aka. Nor) has decided brand himself this holiday season. Displayed here, he wears his Scaper colors proud. We can't thank him enough, and the countless others who've supported our little web comic with the purchase of ScaperTees & other merch. It's you all that continue to fuel this comic, and we can't tell you how much we appreciate it. Thanks Nathan for making this world a better, safer place to live.

The Pendulum is Here!

Well the Pendulum is finally here! Which ultimately means, enough talk, let's get back to what we do best.. which is primarily not talking. Ok super quick tour of the new LS site. Some stuff is the same. Some stuff is very different. We've taken onboard all feedback we've received over the 3 + years we've been doing this thing, and have done our best to incorporate your feedback into the new comic site layout.

1: Easy access to LS media: You'll now notice the 3 icons at the top of the page. This allows easier access to all different forms of LS media. Facebook/ Twitter / Scapertube. Before you needed to embark on a scavenger hunt to find these, so we thought we’d make it a little easier for those interested in a little more Scaper-on the side

Gallery Update: We’ve broken the gallery into 3 sections. Desktops / Fan Art / Pin -up Art to make it easier to find what you’re looking for in that category.

Comic Page Jump: Ok now this is where even I am thankful for some of these updates. It’s now easy to jump to any page in the issue at anytime. This has been a huge request, which until we were able to make the move to another comic engine was not possible in our current. form.

Latest Commnents on Top: You'll now notice that the latest comments applied to a comic page will now show up at the top of the comments chain.

Blog Update: You can now easily move through the blog posts with our pagination.

Donate Option: Not going to say much here, but it's appreciated if you enjoy the comic. All donations go straight back into the comic, and allow us to do more interesting thing for our readers. Tees – printed one off’s, that sort of thing.

Ok, well officially welcome back. It’s been too long, and I can’t wait to get us into issue 4. Good things ahead.

The new site may take some getting used to - on both of our ends, but once we get the hang of it, it will be like we never left! Hope to see you all back here soon. Besides, Scaper's still got some ass to kick!!

	Onward! c-

Issue 4 update Oct 5th

Ok, I know what you're saying....You've seen enough of these preemptive update things already. To be completely honest, so have I. However, I still feel it's important to keep you posted on the developments of the current issue...and to answer the real question:"WHAT'S THE HOLD UP!!?" At this stage we're pretty much ready to go. The pages are done, and everything is on track to get this thing moving again. The reason for the delay is - we're currently moving the comic to another comic engine. Basically transferring the site and content to another custom engine. When this is finished we'll be ready to roll out with the LS issue #4. Sorry again for the delay. Sometimes you can't control everything - even if you want to drive a flaming nail through it!! Sometimes, you just need to play the waiting game. Not long now. I'll keep you posted with another lame update soon. c- Onward!!!

Scapetober...

October is a lovely month, don't you agree? With this being said, I'm doing all I can to get the latest LS installment to you good people in a moderately reasonable time frame. My hope was to have everything up and running by the end of September. This date was more for me to adhere to a deadline (to keep me focused), which has helped with the progression on the road to releasing issue 4. However, there's been a few unforeseen delays which have set me back a little. On top of the release of the new issue, we're also transferring the the new LS site to a new engine - so this too has been hindering the timeline a little. My new goal, is to get this all up and running in Oct. I will try to continue to meet this September deadline, but also don't want to rush it. The Pendulum is still coming...no really it is. c-

September...

A quick Issue #4 update. I'm looking to have everything ready to release the long awaited 4th issue by the end of September. If things stay on course, this should be a doable task. Again, many humble apologies for the hiatus between issues 3-4. I've been working double time in the garage to bring this next issue to the stage as soon as brutally possible. I'll keep you posted. As always you can find me in ScaperChat for a verbal catch up. WITH FIRE! c-
