Hey Alucard999! Thanks heaps for coming by the LS table & for taking the time to check out what this crazy Landscaper comic was all about. I'm really stoked to hear you enjoyed the read. It was our first year at Nova, and we were really happy the response we received. It's even better to get comments from people we may have interacted with at Nova or handed out a LS promo to. Really sorry about the delay from issue 3-4. It was just once of those instances where Issue 3 ended - just as we were getting ready for SupaNova. Usually we're up and running not too long after the lastest issue is completed. However, even with this loss of issue prep time, we're making it our mission in life to get this thing moving as quickly as possible - of course not compromising the quality of art or story. I will do my best to keep everyone posted on our progression of issue 4, as well as doing a few side LS projects to hopefully keep you entertained until the release date. We'll do our best to get this next issue to you good people ASAP. Thanks again for taking the time to check us out, it's much appreciated. Keep an eye out on the blog posts, as I'll be updating them regularly. Also, that sidekick nick name is epic. We're not much of a sidekick kind of comic, but if the opportunity arises, that's a definite contender. c-

Finally got around to checking out Landscaper after picking up a pamphlet at Supanova. Just spent the last hour and a half reading from page 1 of issue 1... REALLY impressed with the awesome artwork and storyline!! Bad news is I now have to wait for the next installment... oh well just have to read from the start every week. P.S. a side kick could not be called ANYTHING other than Harry Hedgetrimmer

I think, knowing Dan, if he was going to do such things he would weld together a massive Scaper symbol staple them to that- rig it so it spins from the centre- light that on fire while spinning, sit back and appreciate his work. Then call the rest of Karillion to join him in toasting marshmallows.
  5. FireFrenzy
oohooh he could light the cross on fire with a live video stream:P if we're sending a message we might as well do it propper;)
  6. FireFrenzy
isn't the death of 1k papercuts a traditionally oriental vengance? personally i'm thinking this'll end up with one of those fuckers stapeled upside down to a cross;P now THAT's a statement;)
  7. chris
There is no such thing as a silly idea in the LS world Tgs, 1000 paper cuts would be a pretty brutal form of revenge for Tyler. The "rotary mower of death" could always be effective - depending on how it was put together - and of course it could always be a "flaming rotary mower of death." - which is a whole other story all together. c-
  8. Tgs
I wonder if there is any way to help that little kid still hanging on the basket ball hoop get a satisfactory revenge - I had thought 'a death by a thousand papercuts' could be good to depict but then thought - nah - a foolscap paper rotary mower death device is kinda silly.

SkylerC: First off: Awesome avatar image!! Ok, now..Thanks heaps for your great feedback, and the fact you hold the comic in such high regards is very humbling to us. We can't tell you all enough how much we appreciate all of your support in the development of this little web-comic. It's so great to hear it's well received - and really encourages us to continue the work. Now, I'm a bit concerned that you said the LS is now your hero...you've read the comic right ;) I do agree watching the scales try to balance these two personas has been interesting...and there's always more to come. c- Raron: Think more sustainable - in for the long haul. Though, flaming blades of death really does have a nice ring to it. I was thinking, as a side project, I might draw "one off alternate pages" to go in the extras section. Basically depicting events based on your comments. This one is definitely going on the list. *flaming blades of death* Sam: Remember, it might not be Dan at the controls here, so a more direct approach may be the Scaper way...

So Daniel went back to the drawing board hey. From the garage that brought you family favorites such as flaming nail guns comes...
  11. Raron
now my question... is he gonna fill the spring loaders with lighterfluid and launch flaming blade of death or just launch blades of death?
  12. SkylerC.
This is Absolutely trumps any webcomic I have ever seen before, the story is great, it rivals those of marvel and other big name brands, I have read from page one in one day, The landscaper is now my hero, the thin line between vigilante and Punisher may soon be crossed, and I cannot wait for it to happen

FireFrenzy: Agreed about the tool box - too much organization is a free VIP pass to the dark-side. Avenmar: Always open to any inspiration - so thanks for the mental picture. I too have had that same vision of the repercussions of such a device....oooo. brutal - but sooo dark scaper. I think that's Scaper's ultimate plan. I believe Scpaer feels that Dan's basically has been a little too easy on this group in the past. What -with the lame flaming nails and branding irons to the forehead. He thinks, if he sends the right kind of message, then others may not want to follow in their path. I shutter to think at the particular message Scaper is planing to send - but in his mind, he believes this is the only way to handle this vigilante situation that Dan has so carelessly gotten himself into. Wessick: No worries man, I completely under stand when thing go crazy - be it "scaper crazy" or otherwise. I am also guilty of looking around my surroundings at random house hold items, and ask: now - What would scaper do? I just tell myself it's R&D for the comic, and not my own morbid curiosity.....but we know better ;) Hey I've seen you in Scaper Chat here and there - but always seem to cross your path 2 secs too late. Keep popping in when you can - I'll do my best to be a better virtual host. That goes for everyone - Stop by and say hi - I'll try to be interesting.....really I will. Like Frenzy said; Free desktops for all...oh wait...they're already free....um...custom desktops for all. c-

Great...LS has a battle-claw. Sorry I missed the last page mates, between college and work I have been going crazy. Not Landscaper crazy... but sometimes I look differently at my pencils and keyboard...and think what LS would do with them. After I break out of that disturbing place, I return to my semi-normal reality. Anyways, love how it is progressing.
  15. Avenmar
Glad I could inspire, but I still shudder to think what a drill-mounted serrated blade would do to someone. It would not be pretty...or clean...or undamaging in a psychological sense. Hell of an intimidation factor, though, to be sure. Would YOU want to mess with someone clearly that insane? I wouldn't. Not without a heavy suit of armor, maybe 10-feet of reinforced concrete, and maybe a blast door between us, at least.
  16. FireFrenzy
Anyone with a toolbox that organised cant be far from this no matter the context... No matter what he keeps in it...
  17. chris
Well spotted Raron! *10 Scaper Points* These two scenes definitely mirror each other in their purpose. There were many tie-ins between the Pumpkin's arc and Daniel's (LS)'s arc. Some were more obvious than others...but well spotted on this one. As for the condition of the tool shed. I like to think of Dan's surroundings as a reflection of his current condition (be it mental - or just social). Basically, his organization of of his tools - seem to be as dis-organized and random as his current state. I've always wondered, who's more insane. The person who just randomly has things everywhere (very similar to myself - have you seen my work desk ;)) - or - the one who has everything perfectly organized with black marker lines around each tool on the wall? - It seems everything has it's place - and balance. hmmm...I wonder.
  18. Raron
Also him standing before the tool reminds me of Pumpkin Jack standing before his art wall for inspiration. I like the nod.
  19. Raron
I have to admit... I wonder about the initial sanity of a man who keeps his BBQ tools, his gardening tools, and his machine tools all on the same wall in the same place... I am begining to think Dan wasn't that far from this at any point and time.

Haha, thanks Karen - Keep in mind that Scaper enjoys his work, unlike Danny. He looks at his job like a violent game. Basically, Scaper standing in front on all this wonderful shiny sharp stuff - is kind of like a kid in a candy store - except the candy in this store can cause a little more physical damage than a Snickers. So - his playful approach to his preparation is just....well...um..Scaper. He believes that Dan takes it all to seriously - what with his morals and rules...Meh! No need to worry, I have a feeling that once he gets into the office, he'll be all business...but what do I know. :)
  21. Karen
Huh, so *this* is what it looks like when homicidal maniacs in movies are preparing their weaponry... "Eenie, meeny, miny, and one of these." I love you guys. XD
  22. FireFrenzy
OOh god i can feel more work coming my way... Also i think airdrill/impact hammer would be more usefull concidering he is already packing compressed air...
  23. chris
ooo- power drill - *writing down for future experimentation*
  24. chris
Your eyes do not deceive you Avenmar. Scaper has decided, due to his lack of patience and apparently nail guns, that the original forearm gauntlet could serve a new purpose this evening. Why does it only to need to hold & release nail clips...perhaps other things can fit in this rotating spring loaded device. Hmmm..how about this serrated tree trimmer, for...um trimming unwanted branches - -or this garden claw -- or maybe this industrial bbq fork. Wow - this thing has many uses...and for 4 easy payment of only 49.95 you too can own this wonderful product, for all your household needs.
  25. Avenmar
I return for another page, and I leave thoroughly satisfied yet again. Excellent work as always. Can't help but notice that he's attaching that wicked blade to either a spring-loaded launcher, or as my sleep-deprived eyes first thought, a power drill. Both possibilities evoke some terrifying mental imagery.
  26. chris
HAHA!! - Nice to see you approve ili'midget! ;)
  27. lil'midget
yes... Yes.... YES stab happy scaper!!!!
