  1. The Landscaper Comic – Released Weekly On Thursdays - LS: Behind the curtain
[...] Dan’s realization of Tyler’s act (and cross over of the LS at the bar) As well as, a little bit in the apartment and the development of the Scaper gauntlet of DOOM. Once these ideas are roughed out, I then refine [...]

Anything with words "Big & Nails" are golden in my book. Oh yeah, and of course "Flames." Visual reference for those who don't know.

... honestly I have a recurring mental pick of LS making a anti material nail gun... like a grizzly big bore that fires nails... .. .. okay I have a bit of a gun nut in me but that is besides the point... btw anyone who wants to know what a grizzly big bore is watch Tremors 2 if you haven't already. When Burt fires a big gun HE FIRES A BIG GUN.

Hey Arretu, I don't think the scare was intentional - but like Wessick said, I think Capo could sense that there's just something not quite right about his owner. I shall leave Capo out of any more intense situations for the time being...as he's already had a rough issue thus far. Everyone's concern for Capo is touching, and leads me to think his popularity could somehow spawn a spin-off series of his own.....although, personally - I feel it might not be as exciting as original. c-

As much as I like The Landscaper, scaring a cat like that is unforgivable. Other than that, awesome work as always, chris :) Arr

Karen: Don't worry about Capo Karen, he'll be pretty safe in this issue. Sam: Yes, the flaming nail guns were pretty bad ass Sam - they will be difficult to top...but doesn't mean things have to stay the same - we learn from our mistakes, and hopefully improve on such things. Karen: Of course it's ok to do fan art Karen....that would be awesome!!! I've been waiting for someone to suggest the submission of fan art. Please feel free to send as many LS inspired works as you'd like. I'll send you an email with the details. If you don't mind, I'd love to post any fan art sent to the LS site for all to enjoy. :) c- oh...there's also our Facebook fan page - you can always submit stuff there as well, but probably best to also send to my direct account just to be sure.

@Sam152: I'm on it! PS: Hey, Chris, what email can I use to send you fan art? That is, if it's okay to do fan art? :3

I hope now he has to make a weapon more bad-ass than a flaming nail gun. What am I talking about, you can't beat flaming nail guns. P.S I wonder if he had warranty on that TV. P.P.S I'm not sure a warranty would cover having a nail gun thrown at it. P.P.P.S He could say it was a faulty Wiimote. P.P.P.P.S I think a story tangent of him purchasing a new TV at a discounted price would be appropriate now.

Whew, that's nice to know. *Takes Capo out of backpack*

FF: I would agree with at particular quote FF. I would also agree with your other statement....but by now you know how I operate. Personally for the LS, this is well..personal...I'm not sure if he cares all that much about avenging anyone. He just needs a reason....well...for him..I don't think he'd care if he had a reason or not. Go LS indeed! Ghost of Raron: I know Raron, stupid Dan and his temper...Don't feel too bad for Dean and crew...this is what they asked for. Don't send messages into hell if you don't want the dead to respond. Cause remember...they think the LS is Dead....well correction, they think a guy dressed up in a costume who calls himself the Landscaper is dead...which at this stage, is probably not too far off from the truth. "Psychopathic McGuyver" ahhh there couldn't have been a better descriptive title. Maybe make some new plots....just in case. Karen: Thanks Karen, you know me and artistic imagery. Our LS world seems to have it's own rules, but by now you probably know most of them. I like to show things in a surreal manner to get across more emotion to all you good folks. Whether Danny's eyes are truly glowing is up for debate. Although - the folks at the Diamond Jack bar would probably have some crazy stories to tell if this was the case. Still -my depiction of Dan and LS will remain visually askew..(ie) the eyes shall glow. I have a feeling you may like the true LS as well - as I've been waiting to unleash him for sometime now... I personally think he really wanted to use those guns. He had them in his hands for a spit second in issue 2 - but was fended off by a moral conflict. The fact they are now laid up is a bit frustrating for him at the moment. Now, as for LS hurting Capo - I don't care if he wants to or not....the cat will not be hurt in this series....not on my watch....and not in this issue. Capo is a symbol, and even demon scaper knows that. The LS knows at this stage, he may need to learn to co-exist with his internal roommate, in order to do that, families and loved ones are off limits - The white boned scum of Karillion - are not. Even LS can agreed to those terms. Hopefully, future Thursdays shall bring much joy to all. c-

Oh, now the red glowing eyes are just awesome. :D It's opening the question of how much this is just artistic imagery, and whether or not "Daniel's" eyes are really FREAKING GLOWING RED. I have a feeling that I'm gonna like the Landscaper, but my fear now is... He's referring to the guns as his companions, and is obviously upset that they're damaged. Is he going to get revenge for his "friends' " damage by hurting Capo? Or someone else close to Daniel? ?_? Well, either way, I can tell I'm gonna like these next few Thursdays...

.. nail guns broken... ... oh crud... now I am actually feeling bad for those punks... because the landscaper is like a pyscopathic mcguyver... Well... I hope there is enough room at the graveyard.
  15. FireFrenzy
i would quote "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions" but in this case its more like "the road to ossim fight scenes:) Go Landscaper go and avenge your plucky teenaged sidekick....

Great insight as always wessick - If this online comic was a paperback novel, I could see your post as the synopsis on the back of the book jacket...I know it would entice me to read it. I think Dan's just been an out of control roller coaster this whole issue. Ever since he woke up this morning - it's been like a hammer beating down on him. Kira seemed to be his only light in the tunnel - and she too was extinguished before she could truly have an influence on him. That just leaves Dan with himself, and we know how dangerous that is. I take it the LS was really looking forward to using Dan's toys of flaming justice, and apparently doesn't look interested in taking the time to repair them. Question is; without the presence of Dan, is the LS capable of the creative mods we've all grown to appreciate. Without balance...we are nothing. LS seems to enjoy the job Dan has been appointed to - much more that Danny himself. What happens tonight - is just one more event of cause and effect. I feel the LS is realizing that this system is like a Hydra - cut off one head and another grows in it's place. Remove Caleb, and Dean rises...it seems to be an never ending cycle - However...I don't think LS cares about any of that - which is a bit worrying, due to the fact it's Dan that owns the true face. This world has forced Dan to this state - even though it was his decision that brought him here to begin with. Have we crossed too far for redemption? Of course - part of me still recalls a boy having a mask stapled to his face for believing there is a possibility for a better world. Does pure brutality - warrant - pure brutality? The LS may believe so. If Dan is in there somewhere - does he really believe it's worth fighting the LS, just to allow the cycle to continue - or is a radical shift in the poles what's needed. If only Kira was at the other end of that line. Poor, Capo - he's been the only loyal friend throughout all of this. c-

"There is a point in which a man who with best intentions, sees his idealism fade and cruel reality weighs upon him....it is what he does when the pieces are falling around him that makes him a hero." Daniel during his moments of rationality managed to almost prepare for this moment. He knew he would not always be able to control that inner demon...his alter ego. Will this stop tonights rampage, perhaps... yet LS will not likely be denied. Capo senses the change.... it makes me think. Is the evil we know (Caleb, Dean, North) worse than the evil which could yet become and is unknown (Landscaper unbound)? As much as I would love to see some judgement past down... there is hesitation.
