I would also approve of such things Frenzy ;) It's amazing how one thing can effect multiple things in this little world of our. You know by now, there's always a greater plan at work....

Thanks Sam, I too felt the last panel held the "awesome" title. I always believe the transition of the mind begins with the eyes. Conflict you say?...not in this comic, surly. c-

Wow! That last panel is pure awesome. Come to think, Dans eyes look awesome throughout this whole page. I also sense some conflict in the future of this comic.

At this stage, anything is possible Karen. (As for reference ...Damn, why didn't I spot that?)
  11. Karen
...Yeah, he's gonna wind up yelling at Kira later for whatever stuff goes down, isn't he? Just a prediction of mine. ^_-- (PS:Previous reference? The Saw movies.)

Awesome Raron, great to see we can still impress on the emotional side of things. Dan's rage has been well documented in our little series - but once the LS takes the wheel - I have a feeling he's a little more emotionally riven than Dan, and capable of so much more than our hero. Although we have yet to see the real LS - I too am looking forward to what comes next. I think Dan's a bit sanity depleted at the moment, with Brian's betrayal, and Kira not showing up the party in time - internally, I feel Dan feels there's nothing to lose anymore allowing the the LS to try to run the show this time. First Dan had rules..then Dan went to a darker place by branding the symbol on himself...which oddly enough started the internal voice. I guess when a person truly believes in something enough to scar his own form - it opens up doors, even he didn't know existed. Once that door is open, and what ever it is craws out..it's much harder to return to what was before. It seems to be a downward spiral for Danny - hopefully there are lessons learned while clawing his way back up. LS seems to believe Dan is not doing what is supposed to be done, and in an odd way is making him own up to his first choice. Once again Dan is being black mailed and tormented by someone other than North. The real anticipation is; I don't think North has met the LS yet...and I'm sure he would like to thank him for almost ending his existence in a shitty house on the corner of Bleeker and Hell. I've always saw this transition in my head - so great to see it's come across so well from a readers stand point. The green is the reflection of the video screen - it's only after the second "ring" did Dan believe he could be on his own - allowing the LS to start the transition. Creeping in on both side, until consuming the welder formally known as Daniel. Strap in - we're just getting started. See ya next week. c-

Oh wow... once again the emotion evident in this comic impresses me. Watched rage become so extreme it turns around and becomes calm. Like the calm just before a volcano erupts without warning, without giving the nearby villages a chance to look for a virgin to toss in. What happens next... what he becomes... I can not wait to see. I am rooting for those last bits of sanity through... but I have a feeling they are not answering the door right now. On another note... eyes starting green with waves of brown taking over... then the cracks of red going in... merging... geez man... awesome.

Hey guys, not really the intention - but does anyone else notice that the repeat of Dean's message to Tyler - kind of sounds like the LS talking to Dan. Interesting.
  15. chris
Ahh yes Karen, there will be much carnage if Scaper has it his way. Reference? Um...from the movie holding the same name as the reference? Can I have my cookies?..yes? no? As for panel 1 - Come now, you know Miss Lydia's all about professionalism ;)
  16. Karen
Awww yeeeah, there *will* be blood! (Cookies if you catch the movie reference) Go, 'Scaper, go! Panel 1's outfit? I'm sure more guys would watch the news if the anchor girls were wearing *that* get up. XD

All depends on whether it's Dan at the controls or not Black Eagle...as to if it's going to be "hard decisions" to make.
  18. Black Eagle
Seems to me that there are some hard decisions ahead for our hero

Thanks heaps Avenmar - great to see we still got ourselves a page turner...so to speak. Yes, it seems we are slipping into a darker state of mind. Just the natural progression, due to the state of things in good ol' Karillion city. Dan tried his best to play by the rules. Even in issue 2 where he did some bargaining with LS that seem to quiet the beast for the time being. Unfortunately, this night, Dan had no one to turn to - to keep him grounded. I think the fact he thought he had Kira on his side, gave him false sense of security - which didn't allow him the time to react in defense of the voice. I think when he heard her voice on the other end, he felt saved for a split second...but when it ended up being a recording...he slipped hold of the line between Dan the LS. I'm sure "hell" will be on the cards Avenmar...among other things. Come now lil'midget, why do I get blamed for everything ;) Shouldn't a person be able to reason for themselves....well....maybe someone other than Danny. There are plenty of voices of reason floating around...sadly one doesn't want anything to do with him / one is helping a copycat vigilante / and the other....is a "cat" - man, Dan needs more friends. Fighting your demons is so overrated....and so issue 2
  20. lil'midget
*tisk tisk tisk* chris "Curse you no voice of reason"? remember kids don't fight your demons become them.
  21. Avenmar
I must agree with Jester, that last panel was a spine-tingler. I love this comic, and though it's dark (mood, not color), you can really see the way people try to fight the darkness. A shame Dan had to give in this one time, but in all fairness, it's rather hard to fight off the Landscaper when you see what Dan just saw. Give 'em hell, bro.

So true Wessick, Dan has been deemed inadequate to handle this particular situation by well....himself. Actually, we've never seen the LS take over fully - Unfortunate for some, though probably fortunate for us. We saw him peeking through a little in issue 2, but Dan was able to keep a hold on him through some fancy self motivational speech. Given enough time, I'm sure the LS would have broken him. I guess if it wasn't for North shaking him from his zombie Caleb moment, the end of issue 2 may have been much more interesting. I think it would have gone a little like this. Caleb would have had a little remodeling done to his frontal lobe...and North and rest of the KPD may have been nail ridden lawn ornaments. Kira seemed to be his only life line to calm the beast, unfortunately she was unavailable for support. Curse you no voice of reason...Damn, Dan can't seem to get a break in this comic. It seems Kira has seeped in enough to balance the other side...but apparently not tonight. I wonder if Kira sees in Tyler what Dan could become....another bloody example lying on her hospital bed...or if she realizes, the butterfly wings have begun to flap, and it's only a matter of time before the massive wave hits Karillion. Was Tyler the true catalyst to start - or - end it all? we shall see. Yeah Dan, tried to fight it - but I'm sure a little part of him inside blames himself for that poor kid on the screen suffering. Even though Dan wasn't the one who put the staple gun in his hand...Ty was wearing his mark. Dan probably thought back to his speech with Kira. " I did it for all the wrong reasons, not for justice or the city." "I'm not a hero" Now it doesn't matter why he did it - or what he is. The LS is bigger than him now. The name, the symbol, what people think he stood for. Either - he just couldn't fight the LS off - or - Dan finally gave in - and accepted the fact...maybe Dan's not enough. c-
  23. Wessick
Ok... he has officially left the building. Sadly this means that his other half has taken over, and we have seen what happens when that goes down. Alot of harm is going to be done tonight. Let the monster rise. Good to see Kira is on the job though. Loved the slow takeover... the red of uncontroled rage overcoming the sedate...calm self.

Hey Jester, so great to see you're still with us. I remember you commenting way back on the cover of issue 1 - Again, it's great to still have you reading, 3 issues later. Yeah, I really dig that panel as well one of my fav of the series. The fact it gave you a slight chill - means mission accomplished on our end. We're so amped to hear you like the comic. Stick around, we've got some more good things in the works. Hopefully along the lines of intense and or epic. c-
  25. Jester
Oh man that last panel gave me a chill down my spine. This is one of the most intense/epic comics ever.
