Thanks Sam, I figured it would be nice to have Dan's view of Ty's news broadcast "reveal" to be as warped as his mind at this stage. I really like playing with the idea of reality behind different forms of glass (ie) the safety glasses, Ty's ski goggles - how it changes the perception of the moment, and how our characters interact with their world behind this wall. Also, their different color tones - Dan looking through a red orange hue, and how that effects what he sees - more intense and suffocating, as opposed to Ty's green hue, which is more heroic, and optimistic. However, when these walls are removed, the reality comes rushing back, and their persona's are removed with them. Great to see you liked the page...got some good stuff coming up...oh yes..good stuff. c-

That POV on the last panel is pretty awesome. Good page, can't wait for more

Like I said FF, no need to worry. It's just me being me..It will not be a plot point...just extra fun for the page.

you prefer american beer over proper beers (by which i being dutch obviously mean Heineken and the stuff by InBev) okay bonus points for the European thing but that still doesn't solve my problem:P So if it turns into a plot point I'll still be expecting the lot of you to explain my lolwut moments;)

no need to worry FF - it's just me...being me. I too reside in an underland which promotes padless football as well. I just like to bring in things from my past life - and former continent....and also beer.

Haha I can see it now the Scapermobile...massive hedge clippers on the front could take out all that stood in his path...that would be pretty sweet, or side mounted nail guns which could fire 200 nails in a rotation. Ok, I think we're getting a little ahead of our selves. First, we need to somehow sustain our hero's mental stability before allowing him to have access to any more high powered O2 weapons. As for Northie... North explained why the LS was created, or more so - why Dan was planted. In the beginning of our little escapade, youth crime seem to be the main issue in Karillion. Now whether it was there before or after North, is still unknown..but the fact the Karillion courts didn't allow him to do his job based on their age bracket...sparked the idea to create vigilantes by their own merit. This way, once that poor un-suspecting member of the community was - let's say blackmailed into the role of the city's savior...North could run both sides of the fence. A vigilante out there doing what the law couldn't. No rules, no one to answer too - so their form of punishment couldn't be measured by societies standard. Then when the city complains about the harsh treatment of these underage gangs (ie. the media)...North steps in and tries to stop the LS...in the end, looking like the hero protecting the youth from this violent vigilante. North makes sure he's the one interviewing the relative - or - loved one in the hospital of the latest victim of the week. Using their own rage and frustration at the system against them. He tells them that the police know who the attackers are..and that they can't do anything about it. Then he tells them where to find them..almost as if he's done it by accident. North then stakes out the "former"Bleeker house and sees if that person took the bait. Depending on the outcome - he records, and identifies the person using the extent of the law. Then sets them up as Kariilion's new vigilante hero....whether they like it or not. See the problem is Dan. I don't think North was expecting Dan to form his own character - arsenal - and set of rules....or lack of rules. I'm pretty sure North just expected the person to go in with a baseball bat and dish out some justice.. not nail kids to the porch and melt some self devised symbol into their head like they're cattle. Dan's put a big monkey wrench in North's plan - also by not following his orders, Dan is now a loose cannon on both sides of the system. This is a dangerous thing, in North's eyes. It makes you wonder...what was North calling about after Caleb's civilian branding campaign? Dan is always so quick to eliminate the object in font of him giving him grief - be it his cell phone or flat screen. I think this is what makes him the perfect candidate to own the Scaper symbol...whatever that means. North has found a very unstable, though, self sufficient puppet...that is more than capable of bring the whole thing down on North. If only Danny could generate the confidence to believe he could do so. The real question is why? There are more things at work than we know....well I know...but you'll have to find out...hopefully - that is if you stick around long enough. Holy crap...sorry about the book...I seem to write like I talk..and draw - basically a lot of rambling. c- I'm pretty sure North would sell the puppy with his granny - just to make the highest profit Wessick. I've always believed, go with your instincts. So far, I wouldn't trust North as far as I could throw him...and he's a pretty big guy.

I can't believe it took me this long to claim FIRST!!! well since i come from the continent were we only play REAL football someone might need to explain that rugby-on-steroids-for-pussies-in-armor game if it becomes a major plotpoint....

Honestly Chris, at this stage in the game I think North would be more than happy to sell his dear old granny into work in sweatshops and kick a puppy as he goes to collect his money from that sale. Of course... I could just be thinking the worst of the man, I mean sure... maybe he is really a good man and he and Caleb are just....really misunderstood. Of course with that in mind, I have a time-share if you are interested...real good deal.

With all this talk about evil cops, I just had a thought: What if North's image got so bad that he set up his own cop-based vigilante to draw in good publicity? Kinda lame and redundant, of course: Vigilante cop protecting people...but maaaaan, would that cop car look *sweet*! (envisions black car with blue neons and spiked grille guard)

What you mean visually looking like they are prone to violence ;) I have a feeling one way or another you'll all be witness to that particular game...don't worry you'll have good seats..I know the owner. Yeah there's just something not right with the media - the question truly is; would the world be better off without it? What do we really gain from knowing all this stuff...these scare campaigns, and the latest person shifted off this mortal coil thing. So far if there were no media in Karillion this series would be quite different from the beginning. Personally, I think North hates everyone. Anyone who's not a part of whatever it is he is doing. Anyone who compromises his mission...in ...err...life - is a threat, and there fore must be removed. Hence his dealing with his helping hand vigilante. I think he wishes this ended in the Bleeker house...preferably, through some kind fire and brimstone death - probably less paper work. The question I want to know is; If North and Caleb thought the scaper was dead, what did North mean by "we need to get things moving again?" Get what moving? I wonder... If you go back and think about it - with North's connections to Caleb....it wouldn't surprise me if it was North that truly orchestrated the civilian branding campaign to draw the scaper out....nah...he wouldn't do anything that devious..would he? He wouldn't hurt the good people of Karillion. the people he's been sworn to protect. Man, can anyone be trusted anymore? This city needs a good clean out...starting with him.....hmmmm, I know of a good exterminator - but he's a little busy losing his mind at the moment.....maybe next time.

The teams do seem to fit in with the town. Even more so thanks to Deans characterful hoody... no need to guess which team he supports. News always travels fast, whether the law wants it too or not. Heck, the landscaper is huge news. I think this is just one more thing that is going to cause North to hate Lydia, she already started questioning whether or not he was seriously dealing with things awhile back. With this news story, I think she will be getting an unwelcome visit sometime in the relatively near future.

You've always had great insight with these things, Karen... but then, by now you know me too well- scary ;) thanks, I dig the helmets as well..a friend of mine said it reminds him of the old XFL league. I reckon these teams would have fit in perfectly. Either way, I would grab a bucket of KFC and a pitcher of ale & and maybe put your money on the demons... They seem to be getting pretty good odds this season. c-

That Screaming Skulls vs. Red Demons match is gonna come back, I just *know* it. Nice detail on the football helmets, by the way.

Sanity? Did we have any to begin with? Why wasn't I told? Ah the web of Karillion continues to spread. I reckon Lydia just sits at her desk all day just listening to the scanner...waiting for something to happen, which in Karillion it's not that much of a wait. She does seem to know things before anyone else does. Either she's really good at her job, or there's more to Lydia than channel 5 -or - there's something else floating around out there that could tell the tale. c-
  15. FireFrenzy
There goes the last bit of his remaining sanity... The news put the copycat angle together quickly... Almost too quickly now the question becomes does "da police" have a mole in the channel 5 newscrew?
