Thanks Isk, yeah it's great to see the story taking on a life of it's own, especially the Tyler character - who knew how much he would evolve in one issue, and how many readers got behind him in his personal vendetta. Yeah definitely, a sit down would be good - I have some ideas and concepts brewing for issue 4...but we don't talk about that stuff here ;) We have an amazing readership here at camp scaper - like minded people who love to enter this world each week - To be honest this has been the best part of doing this comic, is the ability to connect with so many different people - and the opportunity to share this little world of Karillion with them. I've also found - they've help shape what this comic has become. Talking to them on a weekly basis has giving me so many ideas - just from their comments and feedback. Because they exist... the comic has a life, way beyond what I could have hoped for. I think that would be great if you jumped in once and a while and have a chat with them...like Raron said..they don't bite - much. Thanks you again to all you scapers who have been following us both new and past friends of the comic. c-
Chris,
The work here is looking as phenonmenal as always, and only gets better with each addition. I'm very happy to see this story unfold as it did in my mind all those months ago when we set it to paper. I still need to find that time to sit down and talk with you and submit some of the new stuff! The thing that I am loving more than anything is this following that we have here or that (you) have, considering my involvement has been a lot less recently. You have a great rapport with all these guys, its fantastic!
I'm going to try my darndest to come on here more often, It'd be nice to have a chat to all these readers myself as well!
Iskandar.
I've can probably modify one of my various railgun designs to fire staples...I guess....
They won't find me here, I have gone where no man dares...... Premier Inn. I am safe for now....
Been too scared to post since

*click* Um..I’m sorry we didn’t get that, could you just repeat that please. *click*
They're following me, but I think I have lost them. Gonna keep moving, they musn't catch up! Gotta go...
(Keep up the amazing work ;) )
Well honestly it helps to have an artist who converses with us as we babble insanely, who humors our madness and encourages us in our decent as we spiral towards bonkerdom. We who are about to lose our minds salute you!
Indeed Raron, although, if you go back and look at the fight from the start - Ty was very lucky in this particular confrontation. Marco didn't see it coming, so it was more Ty having the balls to begin the event that mattered. He caught white eye in hat off guard, as he was too busy laughing at both the display of the staple gun, and his new Dean labeled nick name of P.Jack. He made good use with the gun on the guy choking him out - both in the hand staple and the almighty (my fav move) 360 staple slash to the face. The only one he went "toe to toe" with was Dean....and we all know how that ended up. Though, I do have to say - Ty man'd up in a major way against Dean, even if he did get crushed in the end. Just Dean and Jerome, the last of Caleb's crew - and Ty would have succeeded in his quest to rid the street....errr correction...the playground of this particular group. However, we don't know how many white eyes are out there...Still, Ty put a few more notches in his man card - I would say his street cred has definitely been established.
Sorry, Frenzy. I know most were hoping for a continuation of the mighty pumpkin jack/ wild card / weed whacker / robobug / landpainter / street sweeper / the kid / gardenboy..etc - but unfortunately this particular story arc didn't allow for such continuation. It should all make a little more sense at the conclusion of this issue. Hopefully. I loved the idea of having a reality show based on trying to find the LS side kick - I could imagine Dan and Kira sitting in the judges table - as wannabe vigilante side kicks vie for the title of LS Sidekick. Each week Dan would have a different scenario set up for them and each contestant would come to front of the stage and demonstrate their skills. Nail gun accuracy - the ability to fight off multiple foes with house hold items....and who ever had the best gimmick - (ie) vigilante name/ outfit/weapons/gear. Of course with a name like The Landscaper - it would be hard pressed to have anyone take him seriously as a qualified judge :)
I should get you guys to write for the scaper - or at least develop possible synopsis for future stories. It would be an interactive comic to say the least - but I feel you all have a awesome grasp on the world, and could develop many awesome story arcs for the series - depending on how far this little web comic goes. Just really love all your dedication and addition thought that goes into the majority of your comments each each...keep it up - and shall do the same.
I was gonna do a little story about something like that, just for fun... but a game show announcer telling the contestants to "NAIL THAT BADGUY!"... did not come out no matter how I worded it...
My little nickname becomes ever less likely of seeing use... I wanted a gardenboy to go with my Landscaper...
Guess we'll need an american idols type reality show or something!
Well... good thing dead doesn't know LS is still around... I mean think about it... a kid with a baseball and a staple gun did that kind of damage to his little gang. Nothing special, just a baseball bat and a staple gun. Sure he won. Good for him... Landscaper... Landscaper I have a feeling is gonna show him the true meaning of
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY FACE!"
He does so love sharing.
Well put Raron - The real question is; if Ty didn't chose to do certain things, would this have ended differently? I think there were two places where he could have made different choices. One; was Dean's get out of Hell free pass - although, I think Ty would have saw that as not doing what he came there to do. After all, it wasn't Marco who threw the bottle at him. The second; was stapling Dean's face. Although, this was a nice payback for the bottle...and probably many other events not shown, which may be the reason Ty had to time his basket ball practices around their arrival to the park. However, I have to wonder, if Ty didn't pull up and staple Dean, would it have just ended there? I mean, Ty looked pretty fractured at that point, and Dean shut him down enough to finish the onslaught on his crew. Would he have just dropped him and left with the battered group. Dean constantly showed respect for Ty through the entire event. It was only after Ty stapled his face did Dean lash out in a more brutal manner. It makes you wonder about the true caliber of Dean. Ahh the decisions we make...and consequences that follow. Just like in life we don't get that reset button - and sometimes we have to live with our choices....but next time will we learn from them? This was so personal on so many levels. Ty wasn't doing this as a way to protect the city from these thugs. He only used the LS as a catalyst, to put him into a mind set to finally do what he's wanted to do for so long. You're completely right, Raron - he made his choice, he faced his fear....but at what cost? I think in the end - it wasn't winning or losing this night...it was the act alone that mattered more. c-
Honestly... I am proud of the guy. I mean doing what he did, knowing the risks well and true. I mean he believes LS is dead so he knew it could happen to him... but still he made his choice, faced his fear and did the deed. Rock on Ty. Hopefully we will see him again and not just in a hospital bed.
I completely agree Wessick - He's grown on me as well. It's interesting how a new character can develop so quickly in such a minimal amount of pages. I think because we all where with him, right from his first encounter with Dean and crew at the playground - to his final stand only a few pages back - we felt like we went through the experience as well. I know you all were hoping for a LS side kick. All the great nick names were awesome, and the made up scenario's were so great to read - and believe me it was difficult to continue his path knowing what was coming. In the end, I needed to stay true to the story, and to the reasons behind our motives. I can't say there weren't moments I consider altering Ty's arc...but you know this comic doesn't play by the rules - I'm assuming that's why you all keep coming back each week...and I'm so appreciative for it. I have a feeling you might see Ty again in the future....but what do I know ;) c-
Well put Karen. Any of these scenarios are a possibility, eps after what he's just been through. We don't quite know Ty's mental stability from before this night - as we have only just been introduced to him in this issue. Based on that, anything could happen. There are a few concepts here at work with the idea of separating the the true face from the mask - and how the mask becomes a part of us even when it's been removed. Ty's learned many lessons tonight, some....unfortunately through some horrific events. But this put into play the age old adage of: What ever doesn't kill you...Ty will not be the same...as you can't be the same after events in your life. The questions remains...does this give us a little more insight into why other the side is the way they are. What makes a Dean - a Caleb what they are? as well as, what makes a Dan and Tyler - and - are they really on opposite sides of the spectrum...or much closer than we think. c-
Does anyone else see a Rorschach moment for this kid? I mean, with all he has been through. Karen, I would have to say I agree with you, Ty is going to probably have that whole mentality when he comes back into this. Sure it will be a long recovery period, but I can wait.
I would hate to never see Ty again, he has grown on us all too much.
Either he's gonna be in the mental hospital for some head shrinking...
Or he's gonna come back as a total bad ass.
I mean, the whole, "is my face or my mask my identity?" thing is an awesome part of many
hero stories, although with it being taken literally this time, this thing could launch from
awesomeatude into all-out superior coolness.
Either that, or he could just wind up in the hospital. -_-"
Keep up the good work, Chris!
Sadly, sometimes there's no one to rescue you, Sam. Ty knew what he was getting into, and with the false knowledge of believing the LS was killed - he knew he was on his own on this one. I'm sure - if he could go back and do it over, he would have left the extra staples at home - as his prep brought him to this stage. Of course, he had a few places to back out, but he knew what he was coming here to do. "one way or another...it all ends tonight" However this closes out - if he survives, he'll never be intimidated by anyone again....maybe, mission accomplished.
Sorry Wessick - no disrespect intended, esp with quite a brutal closing curtain for Ty. These were def some tough pages to layout - as he was one of my fav characters in the series. He put up one hell of a stand against these guys, but in the end...the reality out weighs the vigilante fantasy. I still believe Dan would be proud of the effort, and could probably learn a thing or two from the pumpkin. I'll be able to talk more about the event next week. Once again - like everything in the LS universe...there's a reason for everything.
