Thanks wessick, that's a great compliment to all involved in the development of the comic - and much appreciated. We believe that if you can develop characters that readers care about (be it positive or negative), it makes the experience so much more rewarding - and better connects the readers throughout the arcs. I personally like Dean as well - he's that member of the gang that's always waiting in wings for the current leader to mess up...or be taken out by a new vigilante - giving him a chance to change the direction of the group. The fact that he gave Ty an out in the beginning - makes you realize he's not just an enforcer, but runs on respect of the act - which opens up more questions about motives, not only with Ty, but the group as well. Ahhh if Caleb only knew what was going on in the streets of Karillion in his absence. All will be revealed. c-
I have to admit, out of all of the Untouchables gang here... I have to say I like Dean as the bad guy alot. He is just so cold....just like a villain. Caleb was definately a leader type, kept the boys together through fear and just plain authority. Dean seems more like the Enforcer who has ambition...and that is the one who you have to watch out for.
The depth of characters is what keeps me coming back... and what makes me comment, because I just can't keep quiet about it all.
Thanks, Sam. I really like that panel as well - it's kind of like that calm before the storm....err..and the calm doesn't look so good. Sorry about the mental image, I apologize for such things. I'm sensing you may be right...but what do I know >_<
That last panel looks freaking sweet. I literally cringed when I read the splintered bat comment though, good one Chris. :P
I'm sensing some bad PR for these kids if that video gets out though.
Agreed, monkey - but it was a nice eye for an eye so to speak.
Oh frenzy - I don't think Dean has good intentions for our little orange hero. Esp, with the fact he may want to make the mighty pumpkin a film star.
If that is the case, Karen - it might not be a good thing he splintered the bat....Ouch!
