Ahhh...we shall find out, Karen. Just a quick note - it's Commissioner Nichols - not Commander. That's my fault for the misunderstanding, as I couldn't fit the title Commissioner on his desk plaque without making it too long ;) We wanted him to be higher up in the rankings, but not that high - haha. :) Actually, I might be able to just adjust the plaque a little to fit the full title in...easy fix. Ahh..the benefits of doing a web comic ;)
Sam, one more thing. Remember... the case that Lane is working on is the youth gangs in Karillion. The LS is separate case altogether. Also remember - only Lane knows that Dan is the The Landscaper at this point - there fore he knows that there is a cross over between the two cases. The case he's keeping quite is the Bleeker St. gangs....and for good reason ;)
Dude, I totally didn't spot the one in issues 2. I'm going back to find it now. And yeah, I was thinking that others may have different info/pictures on the case, but I wasn't sure after I saw that "he wont let anyone near the case", but you're right, it's a pretty high profile case and the higher officers would be informed. I'm going to go over future issues with a magnifying glass now. :)
Hey Sam, great to see you liked the page. Hey nice work spotting the little hidden Easter egg -Well, it's not really an Easter egg, but it's fun to throw in little hidden message and see if readers can spot them. I did it a little in issue 2 here and there, one was with the license plate of the patrol car hauling Caleb away on pg #38. I guess these are the perks of doing your own comic :). As for the file, I would assume at this stage that the entire police department would be working on this case, or at least would have some knowledge of it. It was publicized in the media, and is a pretty high profile case for the KPD. Plus, Nichols is the Commissioner of the department and therefore out ranks North, so he would know of the case and would probably be overseeing the investigation of the LS - esp after being accused of the random attacks in the streets of Karillion. Whether or not Commissioner Nichols knows about the "Seed' program and North's little back alley project, is still up in the air. As for the use of his first name. The characters name is Capt. Lane North, but like most work colleagues people sometimes use either first or last name to address them, regardless of their relationship. Of course, their relationship at this stage is still up in the air, and I won't speculate either way at this point ;) Hey man, great to have you back and reading - hope you enjoy the rest of the ride we have in store for you. Also, keep a look out for other hidden things in future pages.

Love this weeks page guys. Interesting find in the 3rd panel though :D is it what I think it is? Weird it should be on his desk unless he is in on Norths scheme.
Oh and why was Nichols calling North "Lane", is it North Lane or Lane North? If they are on a first name basis, they must be pretty good buddies huh, North must have friends in high places.
