Hey guys, super quick post here, but I thought I would turn to you – as you are the scaper audience. Ok, I’m really looking to spread the good word of the LS to all those who may be interested in reading it. I think we have a pretty good thing developing here, and once issue# 3 concludes, I’d like to offer the LS series once again to potential comic readers… like yourselves.

Few questions: Any suggestions for where to promote the LS comic online? Where did you find us? What made you want to read this particular web comic? What different web comic listing sites are there out in the interweb? Your feedback is much appreciated, as I can assume what’s the best to way to market the comic, but it’s you, our readers who I’m looking to attract. Who better to ask then you. Thnx guys. c-

A good friend of mine Lee Bradshaw, one of the founding members of the rock band Horizon – have recently recorded a “kick ass” rock track inspired by The Landscaper comic titled: You Know Who I Am. After reading the LS issues, Lee expressed to me how he was inspired to write a track based on our unstable welder/anti-hero. I was so stoked to hear that our little web comic created such a creative interest, as to record a single based on the comic. I’d just finish working with Lee, helping develop the look for their debut double album “33″ – The Blood from the Shadow. I helped create the art work for the album, as well as the design for the individual plates based on each track on the 33 album. You can check out samples – purchase & download their album here: Horizon “33″ The Blood from the Shadow.

Download the single: You Know Who I Am
with lyrics like “Now I see the face of my commitment, now you see it’s the face of your suffering” – I knew he’d captured Dan’s persona perfectly. It’s an awesome track, and I can’t thank Lee and the Horizon band enough, for creating such a great homage to the LS comic. This single has now inspired me to do something with track as well. Which is currently in the works – here in the garage. c-

Hey guys, after much consideration, I feel I may have made this game a little more complicated than needed. For this, I will not attempt such things again. I feel I’m not very good at creating engaging, interactive word games for our readers. Also, I’m pretty sure this is not why you visit this site each week. So if it’s not broke, don’t change it….something like that. With that said, enough silly games – time to get back to the comic. However, I did say I would post the answers and locations for both items and clues. For those who played, I salute you for giving it a go, and was most impressed with some of the suggestions you posted.

Ok, now for the answers. As you see in front of you. There are now numbers attached to the items, scattered around Dan’s work shed. I feel a better interactive game would have been; to give you name of the items and then have you go find them in the clutter. But no…I had to give you random, undecipherable clues to items that were already hard to locate in the first place …. for this, I apologize…but I digress.

Answers:

A sinking feeling: – The skin drain cover from issue #1 Still has the blood stain from the symbol created by blood drips in the basin.

Walk the dog: The O2 tank cord, used to pull Caleb back to the burning house in issue #1. Dan says to Caleb; “Come on doggy, time for your walk.”

The new tools: The modified nail gun – ” The new tools of the Landscaper.” Issue#1

A little bloody wall art: The bloody impression Dan leaves after punching wall in Brian’s hospital room. Issue#3

A wooden tool for the creation of the symbol. Now I have to give Sam the credit here, as he said the (blood stained baseball bat) Actually, this is also a possibility. As it was this bat that was used to attack Dan and Brain, which ultimately resulted in the creation of the LS. However, it’s the pencil which is the correct answer, but I’ll take both. Good job Sam.

A white eyed habit: The cigarette. The majority of the time, whenever you see Caleb, or anyone from his crew – they’re sporting a ciggy.

Oh dear god meow: Capo’s head stone from the opening dream in issue#2

A wounded march: The blood drip trail from Dan’s slashed shoulder, issue #2

Another cold plate: The license plate form the police car in issue #2

A bag for a little bitch: The brown handbag, stolen by Dean and Marco, in the alley in issue #2

Miss toe stepper: The “channel 5″ microphone plaque. North refers to Lydia as “You’re stepping on my toes, miss channel 5.”

Tight? : The scissors Kira brandishes after Dan’s failed compliment. Issue#3

Iron mark of the beast: The Landscaper branding iron.

Fuel for the fight: The lighter fluid used in the flame nail guns.Issue#2

A night light switch: The Molotov cocktail bottle from issue #1: Dan says ” The house seems dark, I think they could use a night light.” The switch would be Molotov it’s self.

I hear a wall pin: The bloody nail, used to pin Caleb’s ear to the wall. Issue#2

I got’em B: The broken bottle and blood stain, left behind from Brain’s initial bashing.

A neglected friend: Capo’s empty cat dish. Issue #2

Man can’t see he can’t fight: The paint can & lighter used in issue 1 as make shift flamethrower – to create a brief stint of blindness for Dan, their first fight. Issue#1

 Seeing red: The safety glasses.

South sword: “North shield” (ie) North’s police badge.

What to do with a cage: The keys. Brian, and Dan call the factory “The Cage”

Improvise: The nail clip used to as a modified weapon into Caleb’s face. Issue #1

Quench your bust: The explosive cola can. Issue#2

Forehead blood cover: The bandages used to cover Dan’s initial head injuries in issue 1.

Commander collateral: The trophy thing – that’s on Nichol’s filing cabinet. Issue#3

Tune in case of vigilante fail: The guitar. Always said; if this vigilante thing doesn’t work out of Dan, he can always bang out cover at the local Karillion bar.

4_BLANK_discount: Known as a 5 finger discount. North’s severed pinky.

Busted cross roads: The yellow police tape Dan breaks through to enter the house in issue #2

Hell of a night to start: “Drinking” The glass of liquor from issue #2. Like Dan’s got enough problems, already.

Cage plate: Brian’s name plate from his office in issue #2

Caleb never leave home..blah blah: His knife.

Damn the plumbers: The Nintendo DS; one of the porch boys are playing, before taking multiple flaming nails to the chest.

New toys to play with: The LS branded knuckles. Caleb refers to them as “new toys” in issue#2

New toys helping hand: The blow torch. However, I think “super heated accomplice” could also work for this one.

That doesn’t look like me. The police sketch of the LS from issue #2

Is the game on? : The remote from Brian’s hospital room.

Super heated accomplice: Sims – the garage owner, who helps Caleb forge the LS knuckle brands.

Bullet proof: The original nail gun in the work sheld, before Dan put’s it on steroids.

A read by Cage light: The book Brian’s mother is reading, while she sits by his bedside.

White handed bucket of fury: The white paint bucket. Dan uses his hands to replicate the symbol onto his dark gray hoodie. Issue #1

East Karillion clunker: The blue car up on the raises in Sim’s garage.Issue#2

Back seat driver: North’s off duty police car. Issue#2

Anger at the tube: The broken pieces of plasma screen from the end of issue #2

Faithful alarm: Capo – Dan’s black cat.

You broke my good side: The broken safety glasses from issue #2 (the broken pieces on the floor is also correct)

Rule#2: Protect you identity. either dusk mask/ safety glasses – or – both.

Casting call for a pussy: Caleb’s arm cast sling. The word “pussy is only used once in the comic. Dean calls Marco a “pussy” for going to the hospital, and then says Marco reminds him of Caleb…..a bit of a stretch, and again – I do apologize for all things.

Voice over left overs: The police radio from issue #3. North is alerted that the LS is still alive, where North then says to Caleb; ” There’s always left-overs.”

Stick of coward: The blood stained baseball bat. Dan refers to Caleb and crew as “cowards in issue #1

Wooden walkers: Caleb’s crutches from issue#2

Desperate dairy call: The milk carton from issue #3.

Lydia in bondage: The hand cuffs used in a graphic for Lydia’s news report in issue #3.

Ok, once again thanks for partaking – for those who partook. Sam & monkey, nice work

Alright, enough of this – back to this LS comic. See you Thursday! c-

Hey guys, here’s a little something to test your LS knowledge. Of course I could have done an Easter inspired page, with a bunny holding a nail gun, or a chocolate LS symbol, but then I thought: This might be a little more interesting for readers having to wait another week for a new page post. I’m sure you’ve seen these before. In front of you is Dan’s work bench. A little more cluttered than usual, for our nail toting hero. Below are a bunch of random clues. Some are pretty straight forward; others a little more abstract. If you want to play, feel free – if not – that’s cool too. To play, simply write your answer of what item(s) you think the clue is referring to with the corresponding number in the comments box. You may need to thumb back through the comic to refresh your memory. Of course my crap illustrations of some of the items may not help, but hey – it should be an interesting game, none the less. Next week I’ll post the same page identifying where all the items are located. Ok – ready? Happy hunting!

Hey guys, as you may have seen, I’ve added three new desktop designs into the Extras section of the site. These new desktops were suggested by two of our readers Sam152 & Raron. I really enjoyed doing these desktops, and it got me thinking; If there are any readers out there who would like their own custom desktop based on the comic, reply to this thread – and I will see what I can do. If there is a particular character or scene you would like, just post your idea along with your screen rez. Once I have it completed, I will post to the site available for download. I’m beginning to noticed that our readers really have some great suggestions for these, as I don’t think I would have come up with these concepts on my own…and that’s the great thing about these..they are suggested by you, for you. So post your ideas, and have your own custom scaper desktop to grace your screen. Ok… that’s all for now…see you next week. c-
