Landscaper Pin-up Art

Hey all, as you may have noticed I've been posting LS pin up art these last couple of weeks. I've been in touch with various artist over the last year, and I've graciously asked them if they could take some time out of their busy / creative lives to develop some LS inspired pin up art for all you fans to download and collect. Since the request, I've received some really amazing work from both Paul Spencer & Ing Jong. Each artist has created their own depiction of the LS character(s) and the over all theme of the comic. The more important factor is, these works are done in their own unique style, and with no limitations from me. I really wanted to create a free avenue to develop some cool LS art to showcase on the site, hoping this would encourage other artists to want to partake in the development of these as well. It's been so much fun to watch these works come in, and to see the character through different eyes. I really like the way Paul has depicted the character of the scaper. It's almost like looking into the future, and Dan has accepted his roll as the protector of Karillion, possibly after defeating his inner demons - or making peace with it for the time being. Either way, it's an awesome glimpse into the character. A strong, self assured, confident LS, overlooking the city he's helped resurrect from world of corruption and underlying powers that be. I also like the way he's shows Dan with the dust mask off - almost in a way to say that Dan can easily distinguish between the LS and himself, finally becoming one - with out the internal conflicts. Ing Jong's depiction again is almost looking at the character a few years down the road. The wounds have healed, and it's almost a complete opposite approach to the mind set of the character. Instead of protecting Karillion, it's almost like he's given up on the city - and is moving on to where ever to maybe start again - minus the hooded sweatshirt, safety glasses and dust mask. However, much like Caleb - he wears the band of the scaper, which is a little harder to forget. Taking a moment, from a distance. Dan takes one last look at the city that has created this monster persona through frustration, and anger of a lawless society. Maybe... Dan can finally find some peace - or set up shop in another city far from the lights of Karillion. However, I see he is minus one passenger, which kind of makes me sad - as I wonder to the whereabouts of his faithful alarm clock :( A massive thank you goes out to these two artists, who have taken the time to create these work, which I hope you've been able to view, download and enjoy. I encourage anyone who would like to summit pin-up art, just let me know - and we can arrange something. You will be predominately displayed on our cinematic main graphic, as well as having a bio and links to any of your work - including your own comics. The goal here is to create a community amongst other comic artist - or - creative people in general, to give them an outlet to present their talent, at the same time helping to give new depth and color to the LS world... through new eyes. c-
