Hey guys, one of the great things about having your own website, is the ability to do some shameless self promotion. Two years ago, whist concepting for the LS comic – Greg and I were in the works for developing another comic to support the umbrella name of Visual Assault. The concept -was to develop a small 4 panel comic which would be released weekly with the LS comic. This comic would be based on two waring groups – the Rods & the Cones….and they were to be;…get ready for this… walking, talking, ass kicking EYE BALLS. The mission set before us was create as many jokes as possible using our two military based camps, and to create a visual pun each week for… well eyes, and all things that go with them. We felt, not only because the majority of our readers would have eyes, that they might be able to relate to funny, and or clever events that took place in the strips. And with character names like; Commander Cornea, General Retina and Lieutenant Stigma, you know you’re in for a good time. The comic lasted about 6 weeks, and we delivered a few weekly strips. The LS kind of took over, and we basically put the project on hold for the time being. LS really took off, and I was happy to focus all my energy on that particular comic, as the graphic online novel was something that appealed to me more. Since then, I’ve been able to get myself ahead on the comic in terms of pages. So Greg and I had a quick chat on the train home from work, as we do – and decided if we can sit down and come up with more strips for VA, we might start that one up again along with the continuation of The Landscaper. Of course, at this stage, it’s all just ideas – we will see where it goes. Just thought I would throw it out there for those who might be interested in a laugh, as well as flaming nails to the face….If so, VA & LS will be your fix for both. c-
