I am tempted to make a Mortal Kombat reference what with the Mr. Cage and all… But I will resist the temptation to FINISH HIM!

  2. Sam152

Wow, super early page?! And crap, he has been in hospital for quite a long time now and damn, looks like he has lost some weight, North is a sneaky bastard too.

  3. chris

The question is, Raron -what would Brian’s finisher be on North? Beard Attack!! – FATALITY!!!

  4. chris

Hey Sam, yeah I was able to finish this page early as I got a little more time to work on it this week- I figured I would be nice and post it early, instead of hording it all to myself until Thursday. Yeah B would be dropping a few pounds, I mean come on, do you know how many beer o’clocks he’s missed since being admitted in issue 1? Come on now – would you expect anything thing less from our fearless captain? I love how sad Caleb looks in the posed photo – Hey look Caleb has pupils….don’t get used to it though ;) Awww poor wittle Caleb…got his ass kicked!

  5. Karen

Looking at the Landscaper icon in panel 8 makes it alot more noticible than before, and I just have to say: It looks bad ass! :D
Anyway, it’s nice to see Brian having such loyalty to his friend. <3

  6. chris

Thanks Karen :D Yeah, I really dig the LS symbol as well. I was thinking of making up some tee-shirts to make available on the site in the future. I agree the symbol looks best when it’s white on black…and not burned into some punks forehead ;) Yeah Brian wouldn’t put his friend on the block…However, I do need to say – that’s a pretty crap way to wake up after being in a coma for a while…Hey North have you ever heard of something called common courtesy? NO – of course you haven’t!!!!

  7. Raron

I have to wonder… does North have a good twin named South?… I am begining to believe that North might have had a Sister named West. She was last seen crushed under a house that contained a girl from Kansas.

  8. Raron

Oh and yes. I would so want a hoodie with that symbol.

  9. chris

All those ideas have already been considered, apart from the sister being crushed under a house containing a Kansas girl….I’m pretty sure that’s been done already.

As for the requests for hoodies and tees with the symbol on it, your requests have been heard and future actions will be take. I may post something up on one of the blogs to see if there is further interests in purchasing a LS tee or sweatshirt (hoodie). If there is, I will look at getting a run done to make available on the site.

  10. chris

Come to think of it – iron on tees have come a long way. I’ve done a few recently and they’ve come out pretty good. You just need to keep track when you wash and dry them. If readers are interested in DIY LS tee-shirts. I can make a larger version of the symbol available for download which you can do as you wish….but if I see on the news about a vigilante wielding two nail guns – wearing a hoodie with this particular symbol. 1# I would say maybe get some help…I mean in a professional way, and #2 I know nothing about it ;)

I Have been reading this comic for a little and Like it. Its great. Reminds me of a character from Dark Horse Comics from the early 90s called “X”.

  12. chris

Thanks EdgeVerse, that’s great to hear you’re enjoying the comic, and that is reminds you have a past comic you liked as well. I didn’t know of the X comic, but I looked it up, and it seems like a pretty cool comic and character. I can see the similarities you mentioned between the LS and X. I might have to check that comic out, based on the plot line, it seems like something that I would dig as well. Thanks again for the feedback, and we hope you continue to read The Landscaper. c-

So any hints as to what LS will add to his backpack of doom? Yes backpack of doom. Like batman’s utility belt but not gotten by being a rich boy and instead gotten by his own inventiveness.

  14. chris

Hints you say? Come on now..is that really my way? All in good time good Sir Raron. First off I really like the fact that you get the idea that even though Dan is a “vigilante” and there are quite a few out there in the comic world with similar traits, he doesn’t have the resources to amass the weapons and gadgets that some “creatures of the night” may have. However, the ability to make things in his garage using his own ingenuity, creative thinking and a welding torch can go a long way when becoming a home grown vigilante. I’ll always call him “the MacGyver of vigilantes” Who needs vast amounts of money and resources when you have some clothes pins, chewing gum and Nitroglycerin at your disposal to make a kick as weapon. Oh, and no…that wasn’t a hint :)

Backpack of Doom! I really like it! You know, I might just have to have someone refer to that in future issues, and will give you credit for branding his gear with such a cool name. At the moment he’s only carrying the O2 tanks, but maybe having some more clips to be able to hold other devices might be a good idea. Here’s a thought…what would you like to see in Dan’s arsenal? I’ve always said this is a comic book for the people, and if the people suggest things they would like to see in the comic – they may just get what they ask for. So who knows, your ideas could possibly show up in a future LS comic. I know, exciting right?

  15. EdgeVerse

Glad you looked into “X”. I thimk there are some comic samples of “X” as far as a short story to read. I also do a webcomic myself. I had it published earlier this year. Right now I am re-telling his origin and stuff.

Do you have a banner I can add to my links page?
And yes, there is a similiarity between LS and X. I think. LOL Anywayz, keep up this awesome comic.

  16. chris

Hey EdgeVerse, or should I say…Aaron, ooops..sorry, I know how important it is to keep our true identities a secret from the rest of the world when you’re on the interweb….um, if only I’d thought of that sooner. The whole two seconds thing should have applied here. Anyway. I really dig your comic! Awesome art style – how do you do that 3D? you will have to give me a demo some time. I haven’t had a chance to read it fully, but I def will when I get a chance. As for the banner, much appreciated for the plug. I’m sure I can create something to send you. What size would you like for your links page? I will also add your comic link to my links page as well. We online comic folk need to stick together. Keep up the great work. I will do my best to do the same. Thanks again, AB or EV.

  17. EdgeVerse

My true identity is not at risk.. (looks around cautiously) lol. Umm a banner size.. 468 x60 would be cool. My comics are done using Poser/Daz Studio for the panel/images. I then make a template in photoshop, add the rendered images to the template then add text and speech balloons and captions, I plan to make a tech page to explain the process for the readers and and anyone else who dabbles in 3d. And ty for the compliment on my style.

  18. EdgeVerse

Just email a banner to me or something. I am working on a demo/tutorial page that shows how my comic making process is done.
