Hey guys, sorry it’s been a while since I posted anything, but there’s been a lot going on in the LS world. First off, the LS beer night meeting was awesome!!! I can’t tell you how excited I am about this issue, as I really feel the story is mint and keeps this ever evolving LS world moving forward. This issue will be written by our two main writers, Iskandar and Shinead and edited by Emmet.
It was great to walk into a LS meeting not really knowing what they’ve come up with, and I loved the ability to just sit back and listen to their continuation of this story and characters. There were so many little twists and turns and developments that kept me on the edge of my seat, and wanting to hear more. As Isk and Shin gave their presentation, I could just see whole thing unfolding in my head like a movie. I got so many great visuals, and could see the art starting to place it’s self on the page. Cam Lynch, who joins our LS trust, added some great insight as well, and was a great collaborator on the story and some of its many surprises.
We have a really great group working on this, so I know it will be a top issue for the series. I can say that the issue is going to be 22 pages in all. We really want to stick to keeping the individual issues to this number of pages, as it’s pretty standard for a comic book, and also hopefully will make it a well paced reading experience for our LS readers. We had so many great ideas in terms of story and character developments in the meeting that we had to agree that some of these story arcs might need to be incorporated into future issues.
Greg and I are still working on getting the revised website up and running, but all good things take time. I will keep you posted on that, and might put up some visuals showing some of these new features. We are also trying work out some of the issues we had with comic navigation – by allowing the reader to jump to whatever page they want without having to click through the entire issue to get to that specific page.
The group has also made a decision on the cover art for issue 3 – which will be entitled Reflections. That will be posted soon, after some final tweaking.
I will also be continuing the blog posts on the development of issues 1 & 2 in the coming weeks.
